beatmaniaIIDX is a rhythm game series created by KONAMI and released in 1999.
it is a sequel to its predecessor, beatmania.

In Japan it is referred to as 弐寺(にでら, Nidera) from the pronunciation of the name II(二)デラックス'(Ni derakkusu).

The original beatmania series has since been discontinued, as has the IIDX sequel Beatmania III, so Beatmania IIDX is the last active series of the beatmania franchise.
